What is waiting on the road

Learn a trade
Fell a whole tree and chop it where it lands. Coax copper from the rock, trout from the river and supper from the fire. Nobody is born a smith, but anyone can become one.

Sword, bow or wand
Pick one, or learn all three. Imps are a nuisance and goblins are worse. Somewhere past the wall, the Hollow Regent is still sitting on its throne. Bring friends.

A long way from home
Riverwoods and crypts, moors and badlands, snowy reaches, and the Rift at the edge of the map. Saddle up for the long roads. The map does not end where you think it does.

Gear with a story
It starts as plain wool and copper and ends somewhere near legend. Boots wear thin, blades go dull, and the smith mends them for a fair price. Everyone can see what you wear, so dress for the road.

Good company
Wave at strangers, trade face to face, and have a nosy look at someone else's kit. Every world is named for a star, and people there still say hello.

Errands and bounties
There is always a notice on the board: imps on the meadow, a bounty on a goblin, a miller short of logs. Take the job, follow the map out past the wall, and come home for supper.
